Sintered Mechanical Fuse Parts for Compressors of Car Air-conditioner
The cover shows sintered mechanical fuse parts for use in the pulleys of variable-displacement air-conditioner compressors in vehicles.
This product has the dual functions of transmitting power from the engine to the compressor by direct coupling of the pulley and compressor shaft during normal operation and protecting the engine belt from excessive loads. In the protective function, the mechanical fuse part of the inner hub is designed to break if the regulated load is exceeding, thereby engine belt is protected by disconnecting from engine power.
Because high reliability is required in this product, development was carried out from both the view of material design and the view of process technology, resulting in the world's first application of sintering technology in this field. This innovative product not only realizes higher performance in compressors, but also makes important contributions to weight reduction and economy.
